It is made from Handmaiden Sea Silk, I don't know the colorway because I can't find the tag, and I know I saved it!! I used the feather and fan pattern. It measured something like 70 inches once it was done and blocked out. I think it wil be a nice spring/summery scarf. I also sent her a bunch of goodies and I hope she enjoys all of it.
I also finished Kim's socks. She's wearing them today, so maybe I can get her to do a photo shoot with me. They are Lorna's Laces Sock, out of Black Purl. Very pretty!! The pattern is from the booklet "Calendar of Socks" I think. I want to say the pattern is called "Autumn Equinox".
We made tamales yesterday for our own little Cinco de Mayo. Oh they were good. Tamales aren't too hard to make. It's time consuming, but that's the wrapping part. I have made them one time before, several years ago. I saved the extra sauce and froze it, so I didn't have to make that this time. It was a green sauce, using canned tomatillos and a spicy pepper of some kind. It was good having been frozen for such a long time. We used grilled chicken and sliced it up instead of shredding it, and I just followed the recipe for the masa harina that was on the package. I steamed them for about 2 hours. It was delicious!!

What a good mom you are! That's a lot of trouble to go to for a family celebration.
