New Yarn Shop

Just blocks from dance class a new yarn shop has opened it's doors to the public today!! YEAH, go Twisted!! I just love the name. It's all about yarn and yet it could have just this sinister edge to it. We bought two skeins of Zen String, Blueberry Pie which is purple and brown, and Jamie which is several shades of blue and turquoise. Very pretty!! Then we hit Dublin Bay, but the owner wasn't in today so we'll go back in a couple of weeks to see her. She wants to see my finished sweater and a bag that Kim designed on her own. After Dublin, we found the coffee shop to buy some special local coffee for a friend. I actually found a parking spot right in front of the shop, during LUNCH HOUR!! Headed for home, bought a flat of strawberries and plan to make jam later tonight. Yum.

Aargh! The kids and I were in Portland and just got home tonight. Wish I'd known about this earlier! I did make it to Lint and Yarn Garden. I'll have to put this one on the agenda for next time.

Hi Tammy!
'Blueberry Pie' is yummy isn't it??

I'm so glad you went to Shannon and Emily's big opening! I wasn't able to make it yesterday, but loved reading about it on your site!!

Happy knitting!

I heard about Twisted, but didn't know about the other one. Learn something new every day. I still haven't gone to Abundant Yarn in Sellwood. Have you gone there?
